White gold is produced by admixing various alloy components to stabilise the material and make it appealing for use in jewellery manufacturing and watchmaking. Palladium plays a key role in this since a relatively low amount of, say, 150 parts is sufficient to transform the gold’s yellow colour into the silvery white to which this alloy owes its name. At Lange, we use white gold with a purity of 18 carats (750 ppt).

Pink-gold watches
Copper imparts gold with a reddish hue and transforms pure gold into a metal alloy that is very popular for watch cases.
Platinum watches
Platinum means “little silver”, but the material is more precious than gold. It is eminently suited for crafting jewellery and for watchmaking.
Honeygold watches
Significantly harder than other gold alloys and with a unique warm hue, honey gold (HONEYGOLD®) is an 18-carat gold, exclusively reserved for our manufacture. To date, it has been used in 12 models. The name is an analogy with nature, describing the warm, glowing hue, resulting from the special ratio of pure gold, copper and zinc proportions.
