The dial design is subtle yet rich in detail, incorporating many design elements of historic pocket watches. The no doubt most prominent feature is the peripheral railway-track minute scale. The easily legible Arabic numerals are also reminiscent of that epoch.

Lange & Söhne watchmakers combined the stop-seconds mechanism for the tourbillon with the ZERO-RESET function. The interaction of both mechanisms make it possible to stop the tourbillon at will and set the watch with one-second accuracy. When the crown is pulled, the balance inside the tourbillon cage is stopped immediately and the seconds hand instantly jumps to the zero position.
